Miyong “Mimi” Mary Park

Mimi Park is an Associate Attorney for The Gibson Firm.  Mimi represents individuals and providers in healthcare, health insurance, and employee benefits disputes.  Mimi has advocated for clients in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.

Mimi represents medical providers who seek to recover additional revenue from governmental and private payers for services those clients have provided to patients.  She recovers additional revenue for providers by advancing a wide variety of claims and theories of recovery, including ERISA claims, Medicare as Secondary Payer (MSP) claims, state insurance law claims, statutory lien law claims, and common law claims.

Mimi represents clients in adversarial proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.  She further advises clients on a range of matters from ERISA preemption to contracting to implementation of routine policies and procedures. Mimi also represents individuals who encounter difficulties with employee benefits or health insurance coverage.  She seeks creative solutions to get individuals back on their feet after being derailed by the denial of benefits they were entitled to receive.
