Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage (MA) plans are alternatives to original Medicare that are administered by private insurers and subsidized by the federal government.  Benefits offered by MA plans are different from benefits offered under original Medicare.  MA plans are governed by the terms of their policies and federal regulations; however, private insurers that administer (and profit from) these plans often use the badge of Medicare and CMS to frighten providers into complying with unreasonable medical record requests or accepting delayed and reduced payments.

TGF works with providers to defeat abusive practices of insurers that administer MA plans, first and foremost, by demanding compliance with federal regulations imposed by CMS and designed to avoid such practices.
